As the youngest of ten children, Wood And Shop spent his childhood on a very unassuming farm in the mountains of Utah. He currently lives on a little homestead in Earlysville, Virginia with his significant other and four kids. As he watched his brother-in-law's woodworking business expand and flourish, Wood And Shop developed a passion for woodworking as a young child. He started real woodworking in high school, and after college, he became very interested in traditional woodworking and using hand tools. In his brick workshop, which he remodeled in 2016, he makes furniture, makes woodworking DVDs and videos, and teaches classes.
