Plaza Theatrical beginnings can be traced back to 1982, when they began performing live musical theatre in Long Island's outdoor venues. The first two summer seasons featured four performances under the direction of the founder and producer. Plaza Theatrical, using their station wagon and a U-Haul utility trailer, they transported all of the scenery, props, costumes, and technical equipment to the venues with infectious enthusiasm and a passion for musical theater. In the beginning, the actors served as crew members who also set up and struck the shows. Their dining room table was the Plaza corporate office, and their parents' garage was where they kept everything. In order to introduce young people to the magic of live musical theater, the small theater company that could launched both children's theatre musicals and arts-in-education programs in 1984. It also began putting on shows all year round in libraries, restaurants, and other local establishments.
