In 1990, Mountain Woodcarvers opened a woodcarving gallery in Estes Park, Colorado. Although the gallery has achieved great success, they quickly added wood carving tools, books and supplies, and then a woodcarving school, where they will teach and receive nationally recognized teachers. In order to increase their knowledge of wood carving and engraving and teaching skills, they opened the Geisler-Morold Woodcarving School in Elibigner, Austria. Their intensive courses include Austrian-style teaching of engraving and painting. Shortly after they opened a new location, their mail order catalogue and website business began to grow. Nearly 30 years later, when they no longer have retail stores, they provided thousands of woodcarving and wood burning products through their website, mail order catalog and woodcarving exhibition.
