Homeleigh Garden Centre is one of the largest family-run garden centers in the southwest. Plants and vegetables founded in 1977 by Derek and Ennis Broad are sold in milk shelves outside the house. After permission to plan in 1983, it became possible to trade as a garden center, and the company grew rapidly and had all the necessities. The house where Derek and Ennis lived was changed to a homely restaurant, and more buildings were built to accommodate the increase in products sold by Homley. In charge of managing the Garden Center and overseeing further expansion, Homeleigh Garden Centre acquired Crediton's Homeleigh second store in 2017.
