Gotham Quilts met in a quilt class at Andre a few years ago, when Ivette worked hard on the quilt for three weeks in a six-week class, and it worked very hard! Since then, they have been good friends, always talking about what they think of modern cotton quilts in New York City and around the world waiting for them. Andrea Deal's creative pursuit began with her mother's cross-stitch and latch hook items. When she was a teenager, she designed, sewed and weaved items for her friends. She has a degree in textile design and continues to work for major manufacturers, designing a wide range of products such as household quilts and pillows, office interior carpets and upholstery.
