Ardua Music was formed in 2012 from a few members of well-established extreme metal bands as a way for its members to try new things. In turn, the sound of the band is heavily influenced by Katatonia, Paradise Lost in the middle of the 1990s, Alcest, Ghost Brigade, and early Anathema, creating a dark, melodic metal landscape that transcends genres. The string of tune, murkiness, and important, snappy songwriting is the essential point of Ardua Music, with verses investigating the traps of presence, and coordinated religion. The band recorded their first full sonic representation, the Ethereal EP, in the spring of 2014. A year later, they released their follow-up EP, Solitary Martyr.
