Designer Aimée Wilder was raised in New York by her parents, who introduced her to fashion trends and textiles at a young age. This set the stage for her many different interests in art and design. In the wake of moving on from the School of The Workmanship Foundation of Chicago in 2001, Aimée fostered a group of compelling artwork delineations that prompted plan positions at a few notable firms, including Stay Studio, Martha Stewart Living, and The Hole. Wilder's bold designs and playful aesthetic were noticed by Vans in 2008, and three of her patterns were featured on thirty styles of shoes and fashion accessories, bringing her work to a global audience. Wilder focused on her long-term interest in designing home decor and established her own eponymous brand after signing her first fashion licensing agreement with Vans. At the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York in 2009, she showed off wallpaper designs under the Aimée Wilder label.
